Hi! My name is Ludmila Smirnova. I am an educator with more than 30 years of experience with a global perspective on learning and teaching. I was a Professor, Dean of School of Foreign Languages at Volgograd State Pedagogical University (Russia) for more than 20 years; at the moment I am an Associate professor of Education at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. Teaching Interests

Teaching future teachers to be creative, exploring topics of teaching with technology, innovative teaching, encourage teacher candidates to become agents of change, etc. I teach the following courses: Curricular Planning/Childhood, Methods of Teaching, Teaching with Technology, Nature of Schools, etc. in both undergraduate and graduate programs.

In Russia, I started as a school teacher and administrator (Vice-principal, responsible for Extra-curricular programs), then I was a University professor, a Ph.D student, Dean of school of Foreign languages, Supervisor of Master's and Ph.D programs. In the USA, I am an Associate professor of Education at Mount Saint Mary College, NY.
