Robert R. Sweetnam, Scenic/Lighting Design

Robert is a Scenic and Lighting Designer for the Stage. He has worked across the country from Hawaii to Maine. His collaborations range from classical texts to new production to children's theatre. He utilizes a wide variety of styles and materials, drawing from state of the art equipment and technology as well as venerable stage mechanics and methods. Robert enjoys working together with his colleagues to create visually stunning was to tell a story. His designs are unique and relevant to each individual production. He has a hands-on approach to stage design. His technical skills include scenic art, carpentry, welding, upholstering, properties, rigging, stage lighting & sound, projections, and console programming. He has a working knowledge of software programs which include VectorWorks and Photoshop. Robert lives in the Upper West Side of New York City with his wife and two children.
