Bienvenidos a mi clase.
Bienvenidos to a new school year at Weatherford ISD!  I am looking forward to welcoming all of you to the Spanish classroom.
I am anxious to work with both you and your child this school year. I strongly feel that excellent communication between the parents and the teacher is integral to a successful learning experience. Please contact me by email or by phone with any concerns or comments you might have. Please visit this web page regularly for information regarding current class activities, videos, and teacher notes.

Tutorial times 7:30-8:10 daily, EXCEPT for Wednesday mornings(duty day)
3:45-4:30 daily. Please let me know if you are coming in the afternoon so that I can be prepared for your tutorial.

    -Describing people and family relationships.

Mi arbol familiar Instructions
 

Arbol Genealogico

Objetivo: You will create a family tree. You may create a poster, power point, or use any format to be creative in order to introduce your own family, a fictitious family, or a famous one. Write an essay with a general introduction, telling how many people there are in your family; write about what a typical week is like for your family. Mention things you do together, and with different family members. Next, give a brief of everyone, include a sentence that shows relationship with somebody else in your tree, making sure to discuss what each person looks like, his or her personality and likes and dislikes.

 

Suggested Sequence:

1.   Decide what family members your wish to include in your project, minimum 12.

2.   Draw a diagram to show relationships and names of your family members.

3.   Write a brief description of each family member

Ø   Name

Ø   Relationship with another member in the tree

Ø   Color of hair, eyes, size and personality

Ø   Two likes and dislikes

Modelo:Este es mi abuelo Bob.

El es padre de mi madre.

Tiene el pelo negro, los ojos azules y usa lentes.

El es muy callado y muy trabajador.

A el le gusta comer y pasear.

 

 

4.   Write the introductory paragraph(we’ll compose it in class)

5.   When the rough draft of the family tree is done, outline the tree on poster board, power point or any other creative format for the presentation.

6.   Embellish your tree with photos, drawings, magazine images, or decorations.
