| | My first teaching experience in Houston was as a second grade teacher at Lieder Elementary in 1979. (Prior to that I taught for four years in Chicago, Illinois). My principal, Robbie Sheridan, opened a school named in her honor in 1992 so I transferred to the new school with her. Five years later I was given the opportunity to be the first technology helping teacher and this has been as challenging and rewarding as being a classroom teacher. It is exciting to be part of the Instructional Technology team, whose main focus is to assist and train teachers to integrate technology into their content so their students will be motivated and engaged. I am happily married and we have four wonderful children who have blessed us with ten terrific grandchildren. We're fortunate that they live close by so we can see them as often as we would like. | | | | | | |
