Staci Class (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)
|
Hello!! My name is La Dana Morris. I think it is important for the parents of my students to know who I am and my history in teaching. This is my 38th year to teach special needs students, my 19th year to teach at Crockett and my 1st year to teach Staci students. I am very excited about this opportunity to work with children with autism. I have been fortunate to teach grades 12 all the way to kindergarten. What a wonderful experience it has been. I already know the best experience will be this year working with your special child. I was born in Slaton, Texas but grew up in Weatherford. I was actually in the first 6th grade class to be housed in the present Crockett campus. That was before all the additions. I graduated from Weatherford High School and then went on to Abilene Christian University where I received my teaching degree. After teaching in Lubbock, Austin, and Abilene I came back to my home town to help take care of my mother who had altzheimers. She and my Dad are both gone now. I am single with a 31 year old daughter, Courtney. She and her husband live in Dallas . I can't wait to hear about your child and work with you as a team to bring out your child's potiential. La Dana Morris
