| I am a Cypress Fairbanks native, having not only grown up in the district, but I actually graduated from ryCypress Falls in 1997. After earning a Bachelors of Arts degree in History and a teaching certificate from the University of Houston in 2002, I returned to Cypress Falls to begin teaching for the 2002-2003 school year. This is my eleventh year teaching, and I have previously taught both World History and World Geography. Having taught World Geography, World History and now US History and Psychology, I have a unique perspective to be able to connect their learning throughout their high school career. I am an active member of Cy-Fair Council of Social Studies, won the NOVA New Teacher of the Year for CFCSS in 2003, and have led professional development at the state and local level. On a personal level, I am married with two children. My daughter Kate is in third grade, and my son is in first grade. I enjoy traveling, hunting, weightlifting, and floating down the Frio River. I am very excited about the 2012-2013 school year, and I will do my utmost best to provide a quality education to your son or daughter, enlighten him or her to the wonders of the world, and hopefully pass on my passion for social studies.
