Welcome to the WHS Art Program. I look forward to a great and productive year with your student. Homework of art classes is minimal. Students who take longer than alloted classtime may take work home to complete lessons. Week 2 Art 1 - monday is sketchbook day, students will work in "Inchies" in sketchbook. This week they will practice drawing a simple still ife using 5 of the 7 types of persepctive. By weeks end, each student will create their own still life in pencil. Art 2
Monday is sketchbook day. This week they will draw their IMPRESSION of an apple or a pear. This is the icon they will use for the rest of the year. This week week they will begin drawing a piece of paper. Emphasis on shading/realism. This is a 2 day (6 hoyr) assignement. Art 3
Monday students will work on their artists trading card. This week they will add another element to the trompe l oeil drawing. Try to have it 3/4ths done on Friday. Tutoring by appointment: conference time period 3 (11:28), A day

1 1 pkg thin color markers
1 set color pencils
2 twin tip Sharpies black (if you cannot find the duo Sharpie get 2 bullet tip medium or fine)
Prang watercolors
1 #6 watercolor brush
pencil pack-Generals Sketchmate
if you cannot find this set in Wford, get a pkg of #2 pencils, an eraser and a small sharpener.

1 roll 3/4" masking tape
