My Bio
|
Judy Witt, PhD My experience in education spans the scope of educational delivery from preschool through graduate education including service as an academic graduate dean and an undergraduate dean of students. My K-12 experience is in educating students with special needs at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. My higher education experience includes work in the public, private non-profit, and private for profit sectors of higher education. I have spent most of my higher education career leading, teaching, and assessing alternative programs designed for non-traditional students that involve interdisciplinary and collaborative teaching using various learning community and cohort models. My academic areas are higher education leadership and adult learning including a focus on learning outcomes assessment. I served for 13 years as the dean of the School of Educational Leadership & Change at Fielding Graduate University, a California-based private non-profit graduate university. Currently, I am the director of the Higher Education program at Immaculata University College of Graduate Studies and an adjunct faculty in the Walden University MS-Ed in Higher Education and Adult Learning. In addition to my institutional work, my higher education consulting practice has given me the opportunity to work with a number of institutions on new program development, self-studies and accreditation processes, and general organizational development work.
