During the second six weeks we will be studying physical, chemical, and energy changes. Students will only have homework if classwork is not completed in class.  Please check your childs agenda for day to day assignments.  My students write the entire weeks worth of classwork in their agendas on Monday and I check to make sure they have done so.  I suggest to them that if something is not completed in class, that they go back and highlight that assignment in their agenda to know it is not finished and needs to be done at home.   I usually have the kids complete questions from Study Island at least once a six weeks.  Students can, and are encoraged to, continue answering questions for the entire six weeks.  I will continue to change their grade for that assignment until they are satisfied with their grade.
  Pre-AP students will have small projects assigned throughout the year.  If your child does not have an agenda, please get them one.  It is a great organizational tool.  They are $5 in the office.  Your child also need a single subject spiral, a folder with pockets and brads, and a roll of paper towels.  Most students have brought in their materials, but some are still lacking; please make sure that your child has these as soon as possible.  Thank you for sharing your child with us.   The web address for the textbook ismy.hrw.com ("no" www.) The username and password ishloran1.
