Gwen Ryan, Education Specialist
|
Gwen has been an education specialist at Region 12 for the past 18 years. Her assigned areas of responsibility include prrofessional development in classroom management and student discipline, parent involvement, Child Find, positive behavior supports and interagency collaboration. Gwen has a special interest in working with student behavior. Prior to region 12 Gwen worked for the Texas Youth Commission as a medical psychiatric caseworker, addressing the needs of adolescents with emotional disturbance. She discovered an enjoyment of working with adult learners during the 7 years that she taught at Navarro College. Interests outside of work include traveling, gardening and antique shopping. Sunday afternoon naps are a welcome part of the weekend as well!
