Welcome 2011-2012

Students and Families,

Welcome to the Positive Intervention Classroom. This is going to be an exciting and productive year. Our campus theme this year is "Mission Excellence". I truly believe that every child has the potential to unlock the wealth of knowledge inside of them. I am looking forward to seeing the greatness in your child.

We will have our first Meet the Teacher Night of the year on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 5:00-6:30. Please mark this date on your calendar. Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement. We hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many School-sponsored events as possible.

Regarding homework in this class: I will do my best not to send school work home. However, there may be occasional times that homework will be needed to complete our goals and tasks within the classroom.

Grades will consist of the following:

Daily Warm Up participation

Daily/Weekly assignments

Semester Exam

If you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to visit our classroom, schedule a conference, or volunteer to help out, you can contact me at eholder@weatherfordisd.com or at 817-598-2822, ext 3917. My conference time is 12:07-1:07 daily. You may also visit our website to find out our area of content for that particular week. Please go to www.weatherfordisd.com, click on Schools tab, then on Hall Middle School, then On-Line classrooms. This will give you a listing of all teachers. At this point click on my name, Estella Holder, and it will show you what your child will be involved with for that week in my classroom.

Once again, welcome to the Positive Intervention classroom. Lets work together to help your child keys attain excellence!

Sincerely,

Estella Holder
