Hello, and welcome to my Project Share site.  I hope this site will be a useful tool to communicate with teachers throughout Region 12.  We will face many challenges this year with the implementation of STAAR as well as the new Social Studies TEKS.  My goal is to do all I can to help make the transition from TAKS to STAAR as smooth as possible and see the students in Region 12 be successful on STAAR.

Many of you attended training this summer regarding the new Social Studies TEKS as well as STARR training.  Many of these sessions will be repeated during the school year, so please check the Region 12 website for dates and locations.

I graduated from Baylor University and began my teaching career at Robinson High School in Robinson, Texas.  I served as head of the Social Studies Department for most of my 27 years at Robinson.  While there I taught all of the subjects offered in the department, and for the last several years before retirement I primarily taught U.S. History, Government and Economics.

After retiring in 2010, I was privileged to join the staff at ESC Region 12 on a part time basis.  I serve as an Education Specialist, focusing on providing Social Studies professional development and CSCOPE support.
