March is here! The writing state assessment is just around the corner. We will be meeting that challange the last week of the month. We will be writing daily to prepare. Math: Finishing up measurement (area, perimeter & volume) this week. Geometry is the next unit. Reading: Practicing comprehension skills. Using our knowledge of roots, suffixes and prefixes to decode word meaning. Grammar: Sentence structure and use of punctuation will be practiced to aid in our writing. Science: Focusing on the differences between inherited traits and learned behaviors. Understanding that characteristics are passed down from parents to offspring. Social Studies: Life in Texas after the Civil War.
