Hello, my name is Rex Boyse. I was born and raised in New Mexico. I graduated from West Texas State University (now West Texas A & M) in Canyon, Texas. I taught 4th grade in Odessa, Texas for nine years before we moved to Weatherford. My first year in Weatherford, I taught 6th grade for one year and 4th grade for 3 years at Travis Elementary. The last nine years I taught 4th grade at Ikard Elementary. I look forward to my first year in 2nd grade (as a teacher that is).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Every night your child will be requied to bring home his/her DAILY RESPONSIBILITY FOLDER and return the folder the next school day. Please take a few moments to look through this folder as it will contain important information.
(1) Any notes or papers that will require your attention will be placed in the front
pocket of the folder. Also any notes or papers (or even lunch money) that need to be returned to the school or me, you may place in this pocket. When I check the folders, I will be able to spot anything that requires my attention.
(2) Each student's reading log will be in the brads/prong section of the
folder. All second graders are required to read a minimum of 20 minutes each
night. Please fill out the reading log, as your child completes his/her reading
homework.
(3) Your child's Citizenship Calendar for each six weeks grading period will be found in the back pocket of this folder. Please sign or initial each day.
