About Cathie...

Cathie Kaufman is the Director of Business Affairs for Epsilen LLC. The New York Times Company is the majority shareholder of Epsilen. 

Cathie served as Coordinator of ePortConsortium from 2002-2008, and assisted in producing the White Paper on ePortfolios written by the founding members of the ePortConsortium group in 2003.  The ePortConsortium Web site provides news and resources regarding the use and progress of ePortfolio software systems.   


Since 2001 Cathie has worked with Dr. Ali Jafari, founder and architect of the Epsilen Environment. Together they edited the Handbook of Research on ePortfolios, published in May 2006. 
 
Cathie attended University of Wisconsin - Madison and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.  Her Bachelor of Science degree is in computer information technology.

In 2002 Catherine took the reins of Young Actors Theatre of Indianapolis to revive the oldest not-for-profit children's theater in Indianapolis, which thrives today under new direction.  

She is nationally certified as a Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) and Registered Merit Reporter (RMR).
