Weatherford ISD's Elementary Quest program challenges identified Gifted and Talented students. Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students are serviced in their homeroom classes by teachers who have received G/T training. Students in 3rd - 6th grade attend Quest class one day a week in a pull-out program that provides depth and complexity in the four core curriculum subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Quest is an academic placement based on the educational needs of the students who have been tested and identified using a preponderance of evidence.
***********************************
Quest testing occurs once each year for each grade level.
The deadline has now passed for accepting nominations for
the current testing cycle.
We appreciate the interest that has been shown in
Weatherford ISD's Gifted/Talented program.
Testing will take place until the end of school.
Upon completion of all testing, the committees will meet to
determine the student's best educational
placement.
**Letters will be mailed to the students' homes after
these meetings. **
