Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to Ms. Adley's chemistry class. We will be exploring the exciting world of chemistry this year. Included is important that will help your child have a successful year. Be aware that students will have homework following each class period. Homework is essential in chemistry to reinforce the concepts that are being covered.
The Parent Portal will be available for you to access grades at any time. Updated chemistry averages will be posted and available for students to look at each Monday. Progress reports will be given out after the third weeks of the six weeks.
Chemistry involves laboratory work, therefore it is mandatory that every student/parent must sign a laboratory safety agreement before participating in lab work. Each student must also pass a lab safety quiz before participating in a lab.
I am available for tutorials Monday, Tuesday, and Friday mornings from 7:40-8:10 and Wednesday afternoon from 3:50-4:20. Learning Center is available from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday in the library.
Each student was given a grading a make-up work policy. Please review this so you are aware of the method by which your child's grade in this course will be determined.
