Yearbooks!!! 

It's time to order your 2011-2012 Yearbooks! The yearbook will include 52 pages in full color! Price per yearbook is $15.00.  All orders must be received by Friday, February 24th, 2012.
 
 
 
IMPORTANT TEST INFORMATION 

Beginning in spring 2012, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR™) will replace the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). The STAAR program at grades 3–8 will assess the same subjects and grades that are currently assessed on TAKS.

Test Dates:
March 27 - Grade 4 Writing
                  Grade 5 Math
March 28 - Grade 5 Reading
April 24 - Grade 3 Math
               Grade 4 Math
               Grade 6 Math
April 25 - Grade 3 Reading
               Grade 4 Reading
               Grade 6 Reading
April 26 - Grade 5 Science

Parent Portal
 
Parents of students in grades 2-6 can access grades on the Parent Portal. This is a quick and easy way to see how your child is performing. Contact the Office for information on getting registered.
 
WATCH D.O.G.
 
The WATCH D.O.G. program is up and running! All dads, grandfathers, uncles who are interested should contact Deborah Fabel, our school counselor who is in charge of the program. 817.598.2848 ext. 4302. Check out her link on the left of the webpage for more details.
 
WILD ABOUT BOOKS
 
Mrs. Manley is busy in the library as the students have started READING BLACKOUT. Not sure what this is?? Ask your child's teacher. This is a great way to get your student reading at home!
 
 
Lunch Money Now
 
Did you know you can check your child's lunch balance online? The Lunch Money Now link on the WISD homepage will allow you to access your child's account.
