Welcome to physical education!! To tell you a little about myself, I grew up and graduated from Weatherford High School. In 2008 I graduated from Tarleton State University with a BS in Exercise and Sports Studies. This will be my fourth year teaching and second year at Mary Martin. My husband and I have an 8 month old little boy Tate. I love teaching pe and my goal is to show students fun activities and games that can be enjoyed for a lifetime of physical fitness and wellness. ** Parents, it is very important that your child bring TENNIS SHOES to pe everyday so they can participate. PE/Music Grading Criterion: E Exceptional - Child consistently exceeds the established PE/Music standards S Satisfactory - Child is meeting the established PE/Music standards S - Below Expectations - Child's behavior is below expectations for PE/Music N Needs Improvement - Child is not meeting the PE/Music expectations
The established standards for PE/Music are: 1. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS 2. BE RESPECTFUL 3. DO YOUR BEST
MATERIALS: Tennis shoes are REQUIRED to participate in PE class. If a student is ill or should have limited play, parents can send a note excusing their child for up to one week. If extended time of non participation is needed, a doctors note is required. HOME WORK: Remember to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Turn off the TV and get ACTIVE!!
