Professional Development
The new Technology Applications TEKS Professional Development for grades K-8 have been reviewed and released by TEA. The 1-hour self-paced TA TEKS PD Administrator's Overview course is completed and has been approved by TEA. High School TA TEKS PD are being reviewed now with an anticipated release date in the spring.
The courses are free and will be offered to ISDs and Open Enrollment Charter schools that have Project Share accounts. There are two delivery methods for the K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 courses: self-paced and facilitated. Participants will earn 3 CPEs with the self-paced courses and 8 CPEs with the facilitated courses.
The high school courses will be self-paced. Participants will earn 2 CPEs.
Each Regional Education Service Center (ESC) will have at least one person to offer the facilitated courses online through Project Share. This person will also be the one to contact for information about the self-paced courses.
