Course Number PDTECH003, Office Hours Mon-Thurs 8:00-4:30, Fri 7:30-4:00, Online hours-see course calendar.
Course Description
Outlook is most commonly viewed as the software we use to send and receive email. While it is true that email is the centerpiece of Outlook, the program itself is a powerful Personal Information Management (PIM) system that can help users control their work-week efficiently. Participants will evaluate their current use of the program, will learn concepts and skills, and make adjustments over a period of time to the way they use email.

This course focuses on the four major components of Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA): the Inbox, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes.  Concepts learned in this course carry over to almost every email program available in the Web 2.0 environment.
Communication Strategy
This course is available entirely online for any Epsilen user who wishes to participate.*  Separate companion courses held in the Technology Lab for Weatherford ISD staff will be made available when possible.  Communications will include use of course email, QuickNotes, forums, and chat in order to emphasize the use of the Epsilen environment. Chat will be available throughout the course, and all moderated chat dates and times will be listed on the course calendar.

To contact the course facilitator through QuickNotes, navigate to www.epsilen.com/gworden and use the form at the bottom of the page.

Communication should take place not only directly with the course facilitator, but with your online course-mates. Please keep in mind that communication and collaboration are key factors in any web 2.0 environment.

Please contact Mrs. Worden via phone regarding urgent issues only. 817.598.2915, ext. 3054 (Participants will likely have to leave a voicemail. Critical issues may be directed to any member of the Technology Department staff at 817.598.2915.)
